As parents, watching our children glued for hours in front of screens is painful, seeing them fully absorbed in games, endlessly scrolling from one video to the next, or getting lost in reels with no real meaning or purpose makes us feel helpless. In those moments, the feeling you get as a parent is that the glow of the screen on their faces dims and overshadows their skills, their dreams and yours as well. This is because the number of opportunities wasted in front of smart screens is truly immense…
It’s important to know that you’re not alone. Because most families around the world are struggling with issues related to smart screens, smart screens have become essential in our daily routines since they've become a part of nearly every aspect of our lives. The balance is the key. While we, as adults, find it hard to keep ourselves away from using smart screens, it’s even more difficult to take them away from a child who's fascinated by them. The balance lies in trying to shift as much screen time as possible towards positive and beneficial use, to minimize the potential harm.
Today’s screens can be an amazing production machine if employed wisely to organize time and tasks. They can also be a tool for skill development and education, provided that we offer them the right platform that can provide engaging and entertaining factors that rival children’s experiences with gaming screens. This is what we offer you today in the ChesSystem platform...
And this is the challenge we’ve been working on for two years at ChesSystem: creating a balanced program that invests a significant portion of the time our children spend in front of screens into acquiring skills, not just in the virtual world, but also in real-life situations they face everyday
At ChesSystem, we use chess as a tool for skill development because chess inherently possesses the engaging elements that keep our children glued to screens for hours. This has made it much easier for kids to embrace it. In this way, we’ve been able to solve the difficult equation of transforming screens from a threat to our children's mental and physical well-being into a tool for developing their skills.
In 2023, the website frontiersin.org published a study conducted by a group of researchers in Romania on 774 parents, titled "The Role of Chess in the Development of Children – Parents' Perspectives." This study explored the role of chess in developing children's skills from the parents' point of view. The results showed that parents observed how chess helps children enhance their cognitive abilities, personality, and competitive spirit. Most parents focused on the positive effects of chess on their children's growth, the development of positive emotions, and how it helped them overcome negative feelings.
The parents also mentioned that their satisfaction with their children's development increased as a result of the knowledge their children accumulated after chess lessons.
Chess is not just a game; it's a profound mental sport with roots that stretch back thousands of years. From the very first moments of its invention in India until today, it continues to captivate millions across generations, captivating minds across continents and cultures.
Our journey began when Mohamed Hegazy, the founder of Chesystem, decided to create a training program for his son, Abu Bakr, to teach him chess in a way that truly developed his skills. This decision came after trying four different academies, none of which solved the problem or met his expectations for a chess education program. So, Mohamed decided to train his son himself at first. However, due to his busy schedule, he came up with the idea to reach out to his friend, Coach Marwan. He proposed that they work together to coach Abu Bakr using a program built from strong, reliable chess training resources. At the same time, they would continuously develop the curriculum to achieve the educational goals they had in mind.
After a while, as Abu Bakr's friends started noticing his improvement in the game, they began asking about the training he was receiving so they could join the program too. Every time a new member joined the ChesSystem family, they would bring their friends along once they saw the significant progress he had made.
Since then, our family has been growing every day. What started as a simple program designed by a father for his son has evolved into an advanced platform. Today, we use the latest online learning tools to create engaging content for children. Our platform not only teaches the fundamentals of chess through captivating storytelling but also inspires children to develop their skills from within. This was the biggest challenge Chesystem faced: motivating kids to be eager to learn and grow without relying on external rewards. While we did introduce external incentives, like points that can be converted into money for purchasing anything they like later on, our main focus has always been on fostering the child’s internal motivation. We want them to stay passionate about learning and self-improvement, even without external rewards.

At ChesSystem, our curriculum is designed to teach chess with the goal of developing essential skills and turning wasted screen time into something beneficial for our children. Over more than a year and a half, we have developed the ChesSystem curriculum to ensure gradual learning for children. We achieve this by using activities that kids love, such as competitions and storytelling.
Each stage in the "Pawns to Pros" program is independent, meaning you can pause your subscription at any time without needing to progress to the next stage. In each stage, the child acquires a unique set of chess and life skills that differ from those in other stages.
Our coaches are not only passionate and skilled chess professionals but are also trained in effective communication with children. They are adept at using the ChesSystem curriculum to simplify complex concepts and present them in engaging ways that resonate with kids. This approach helps to strengthen the intrinsic motivation of our children to learn and grow.
From the very beginning, ChesSystem has maintained consistent communication between parents and coaches. This ongoing dialogue has been crucial in shaping ChesSystem and its current methodology.
You have the opportunity to get a refund of your subscription fee if you are not satisfied with the program within the first week of training.
